We remodeled our entire home over a one year period between June, 2009 to June, 2010. Helen Sharritt was our interior designer during this time. She guided us through every step, in the order needed for optimum efficiency. We made all the final decisions ourselves, but Helen was there to show us all the pros and cons of each choice and how each choice would fit into the whole picture. She has many wonderful attributes, and we really enjoyed working with her. She is very exacting and skilled at design work, with great attention to detail. She stays on schedule and is very timely. She has a great wealth of knowledge and understanding about the artistic and technical ends of interior design. One of her greatest talents is her ability to tune into the clients’ sense of style and taste and to work with the style the clients like, while adding her expertise to create an overall tasteful master design. She is superb with colors, patterns, textures, and lighting, and the way they flow together. Helen knows practically all of the home product supply outlets in the San Francisco Bay area and took us to the best (always considering our budget) until we found exactly what we wanted. She helped us choose an excellent contractor and suggested skilled specialist workers (such as stone cutters, lighting experts, and staircase and flooring installers). She suggested several simple architectural changes which greatly enhanced the overall look and utility of our home. Our home design is comparable to the designs one sees in journals like Architectural Digest: beautiful, gracious, stylish, magnificent, and a reflection of our unique taste. It’s a masterpiece and truly one of a kind home design. We love it!

Also, she worked strictly on an hourly fee and was able to get significantly reduced (“contractor”) prices on most products, passing all of these savings directly on to us, which helped to pay for much of Helen’s work.
